Japanese automaker Toyota has silently introduced a new Special Edition Toyota Corolla Altis in petrol as well as diesel variant in India. The vehicle would be available in six-speed manual as well as seven-speed automatic transmission option. The petrol LE trim is offered for Rs. 14,60,868, while the diesel LE trim is offered for Rs 15,92,868 (Both the prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The Corolla Altis Limited edition continues to be powered by the same 1.8-litre 2ZR-FE, 4-cylinder petrol engine that generates about 138bhp of power and 173Nm of top torque, while the diesel gets 1.4-litre D-4D engine that generates 87bhp of power and 205Nm of torque. In terms of dimensions the vehicle measures, 4620mm in length, 1775mm width, 1475mm height, and has a large wheelbase of 2700mm.
In addition to existing features, the Corolla Altis LE gets fresh additions like white LED lights to illuminate floor area, special Fabric and Rubber floor mats, Black and Silver colour options on back sensors, DRL on only when Headlight and foglamps are switched off. Apart from these, the company may offer some other cosmetic upgrades, while mechanically it has been left untouched. In terms of safety, the sedan gets Dual SRS Airbags, Brake Assist with ABS & EBD and Rear Fog lamps. Owing to a rise in demand during the festive season, the limited edition commands a one month waiting period.
