Addressing media on this occasion, N Raja, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “Toyota has always strived for perfection in quality. QDR - Quality Durability and Reliability is what Toyota products stand for. It is our commitment to our customers who swear by Toyota quality and service standards. The best way to market your products is word of mouth and that comes only when the customer vouches for the quality of your products. Sustaining a customer is as important getting a new customer. We are happy that our products have been ranked highest, some models year after year, further reinforcing Toyota’s global standards of quality.”

The news is not bewildering as Toyota has been acclaimed on global as well as national standards many times. The company's iconic Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV), Innova has been topping the IQS for 7 consecutive years. With exemplary performance in its segment, the car has overhauled its rivals who don't seem to stand even nearby. Toyota Innova is renowned for its commodious seating arrangement and extra luggage space. Equipped with a heavy engine, the car is most suited for large families and tourists, planning outdoor journey. Such features have given it the crown of India's Most Preferred car for large families in 2008-2009.

Toyota Fortuner, on the other hand, has been the only and most reliable Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) by the company. It has been ranked on top by IQS second time in succession. This car happens to be a perfect example of an off-roading vehicle, with superior drive comfort. The 7-seating capacious arrangement of this SUV is adequately supported by its technically enhanced consoles. With superior class safety feature and meticulous designing, Toyota Fortuner is leading the SUV segment for a long time now and experts are of a view that the car will continue its success rampage for years to come.

Notably, the premium sedan Toyota Corolla Altis also made its first entry in Initial Quality Studies and is believed to be the ideal possessor of this accolade in its segment. The car is an immaculate piece of engineering and is hugely popular among youths of the nation. The impeccable driving experience and luxurious touch at its interiors of this car is till date lauded by proficient consumers. Corolla Altis has largely inflated the market presence of the Toyota, as its superb features can be availed within a price range of Rs. 11 lakh – Rs. 16 lakh.

Notably, J.D. Power Asia Pacific India has been conducting IQS for the past 17 years and the study mainly focusses on problems faced by customers in their cars, during initial months of purchase. The criteria of examining problems is applied by covering different aspects of an automobile, varying from exterior, interior to driving experience and engine performance. All problems are duly noted and represented as a number of problems per 100 cars (PP100). Consequently, the car scoring lower PP100 is characterised by higher initial quality. Apparently, all the abovementioned cars by Toyota have been efficient in gaining a score that has granted them first rank. The auto manufacturer is delighted with the accord and promises to keep it's large customer base content in the future too.
