Toyota Kirloskar Motor has recalled about 5,834 units of the Toyota Corolla Altis diesel in India. The recalled is to repair the faulty components which might cause engine oil to enter into the air intake system. The company has recalled cars which are manufactured between June 15, 2010 and May 23, 2011.

The company, however, hasn’t received any complaints from buyers regarding the problem as of now. The Corolla Altis diesel has been recalled as a precautionary measure, and will enable customers to check their cars for the issue and get repaired without any charges.

TKM will contact the affected customers regarding the issue. The company will inform the customers about the time taken for the repairs, if required. However, the company hasn’t yet released any notification on its official website to check whether your car comes under the recall scanner or not.

Toyota has recently conducted a major global recall to correct faulty Takata airbag inflators. The company recalled 57,000 units globally regarding the same issue, while around 16 million vehicles have been recalled globally since 2008 on the same problem.
