      Toyota announces plans to end the production of Venza crossover

      The Venza crossover from Toyota has once been a popular pick in the Amercian market. The Toyota Venza was first launched in 2009 and since then its sales though initially good has seen a steady drop. Last year itself the company noted annual sales of about 29,991 units which is indeed just abour equal amount of Camrys sold in a month.

      A statement released by the company in this regards states, “It's a difficult business decision to wind down production of the Venza, however (Toyota in Kentucky) and its 7,000 team members are excited to begin production of the refreshed Avalon and the Lexus ES sedan later this year. It's the first time Lexus will be produced in the U.S.” Though the company may stop the production of the vehicle, it has said that its shall not ask people to leave.

      The Toyota Venza was first engineered at Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigen and the vehicle was intended to deliver midsized crossover that offers buyers space and versatility of an SUV.
