The Scion brand from Toyota launched over a decade ago for younger audience had failed to evoke much demand from carbuyers. As per a fresh announcement from the company, it has discontinued the Scion brand in the international markets owing to its unimpressive sales numbers. Speaking more on the occasion, Jim Lentz, Founding vice president of Scion, CEO, Toyota Motor North America, said, “This isn’t a step backward for Scion; it’s a leap forward for Toyota. Scion has allowed us to fast-track ideas that would have been challenging to test through the Toyota network.”
