      Hyundai-Ioniq-1

      Hyundai Elite i20 facelift
The highlight of the Hyundai stall was, of course, the facelifted Elite i20. It is a mid-life update for South Korean automaker’s premium hatchback with new design features as well as CVT for the petrol automatic variant. However, Hyundai has already said that the AT version will be launched in May of this year.

      Hyundai Ioniq

      Hyundai Ioniq
Since EVs seemed to be the theme of the Expo this year, it should come as no surprise that one of the main highlights of the Hyundai stall should be the Ioniq EV. This is Hyundai’s first attempt at making an alternate fuel vehicle and the Ioniq is available as a mild hybrid, plugin hybrid and an EV. The automaker has not confirmed yet if the Ioniq will be launched here, but that decision will be taken based on public response.

      Kona concept
While the Ioniq’s arrival seems to be in limbo, we are certain that Hyundai will launch the production version of the Kona. It is expected to be positioned below the Creta and will most likely be sold as a compact SUV to rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra TUV300 and the Honda WR-V.

      Hyundai i20 WRC

      i20 WRC
Tucked away at the back of the Hyundai pavilion was their i20 world rally car. It is lighter, lower, wider and far more powerful than the standard car. At the hands of Andreas Mikkelsen, Thierry Neuville, Hayden Paddon and Dani Sordo it has flown on rally circuits around the world over the last three years.
