The 2018 Discovery Sport was recently launched in India starting at Rs 42.48 lakhs ex-showroom. Here are the biggest additions to the new model that make it more exciting.
- Wi-Fi hotspot - The Discovery Sport's infotainment system features Wi-Fi connectivity now, which can connect to up to eight devices at a time. To create a 4G hotspot the owner will have to buy a 4G-enabled SIM. The passengers can then stay connected all the time to the internet through this new connectivity feature.
- Route Planner app - Like many new apps, Jaguar Land Rover has developed a Route planner app for navigation. It can be downloaded through Google Play Store or the Apple Store. Its highlight is that it can connect with the vehicle's navigation system and sync routes.
- Commute Mode - The system is now intelligent enough to learn a route taken by the driver regularly. It automatically displays diversions for better routes if it finds any traffic blocks or delays on the way.
- Sharing ETA - Another feature to further enhance the vehicle’s infotainment capabilities is Sharing ETA. As the name suggests, it allows sharing of expected time of arrival (ETA) with certain contacts through SMS.
