      Honda dealers in the country have started accepting bookings for the new Amaze in India for a token amount of Rs 21,000. Due for launch in the next month, the second generation model comes with a host of cosmetic and feature upgrades. Here below is a list of top five features of the new Honda Amaze.

      Diesel CVT

      The new Amaze gets a diesel CVT gearbox option for the first time along with the petrol CVT. The current generation Amaze gets a five-speed manual as standard with a five-speed automatic limited to the petrol variant. Under the hood, the new Amaze will continue to be powered by the existing 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines from its predecessor.

      Paddle Shifters

      The new Honda Amaze also gets a segment first paddle shifters for the CVT gearbox. The feature positions the new model a cut above the rest and elevates its style quotient.

      Safety features

      The new Honda Amaze is offered with standard safety equipments such as dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and Isofix child seat anchors. The vehicle also comes with parking sensors and rear-view cameras for easy maneuvering in tight spaces.

      Exterior

      The new Honda Amaze is built on a new platform and is now more aerodynamic than its predecessor. Last showcased at the Auto Expo event, the vehicle gets styling cues from the City sedan. The vehicle also comes with a more angular headlamp design and a new grille, while the rear gets ‘C-shaped’ tail lamps. The vehicle sits on newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels and redesigned bumpers. The compact sedan also gets a shark-fin antennae the City sedan.

      Interior

      For freshness, the new Amaze gets a three-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone dashboard and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new instrument cluster. The Japanese car manufacturer has also refreshed the climate-control layout. The vehicle also gets new fabric and higher quality material for the upholstery.
