      Top cars at the Mahindra stall at Auto Expo 2018

      The Mahindra stall at the Auto Expo showcased a variety of vehicles during the show. This ranged from SUVs to even an EV platform. Here is our list of the top vehicles from Mahindra stall during the Expo.

      Mahindra stinger

      Stinger Convertible SUV concept
      Mahindra has always been known to bring one outlandish concept to the Expo and this time around it was the Stinger convertible concept. Based on the TUV300, it is a convertible SUV that was built to showcase Mahindra’s design prowess. The concept car was a bling orange with grey interiors. Visible features included a massive touchscreen system and full digital instrument cluster.

      The Mahindra range will expand once again and this time it is at the top end of the food chain. This will be a re-bagdged version of the G4 Ssangyong Rexton that was launched last year. This will be the Indian automaker’s rival to the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and possibly even the Volkswagen Tiguan. It is expected to be launched in H2 of this year and will be built in the same factory where Mahindra built the previous generation Rexton.

      e2o+ nxt
      The e2o was Mahindra’s first electric vehicle once it had taken the reins of the Reva car company. It was succeeded by the e20+ and now this car that has been shown is the basis for the next generation e20. This next-gen vehicle showcases a refreshed interiors, new feature list and is likely to get a bigger range than the current car. It will be underpinned by Mahindra’s new scalable EV platform.

      During the launch of the KUV100NXT, Mahindra had announced that it would launch an electric version of the KUV100NXT which it has now showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. It looks like the KUV100NXT and has the same interiors but with ‘e’ badging and electric powertrain.

      Mahindra Electric Scalable Modular Architecture
      Mahindra is going big with electric vehicles and to keep costs under control, Mahindra designed and developed a new scalable architecture called ‘Mahindra Electric Scalable Modular Architecture’. This may not be a complete car as yet but it does point at the direction they will take for the EVs. It will underpin a range of cars of varying size and capacity across the Mahindra range in the future.
