      The Datsun brand which had been inactive for nearly 3 decades is now ready for a re-launch planned by Nissan. An MPV 'Datsun Go+' and a concept car named 'I2' is ready to be showcased in the Auto Expo 2014. The Datsun GO+ is expected to compete against Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki production line and the Mahindra Quanto. As per reports, GO+ shall be powered by Nissan’s 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine which generates about 68 PS of power and 104 Nm of peak torque. The MPV shall be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Moreover, overall kerb weight of the car is a good 794 kgs that makes it faster and efficient than the rest in this segment. Furthermore, it is also one of the lightest MPVs that has been put up for sale in India. There are certain excise duty benefits that come with cars in the sub-4m bracket, and Datsun Go+ powered by a 1.2 litre engine, and an overall length of 3995 mm makes it befitting in this category. The pricing for this MPV shall also be well within the competitive range to draw a swarm of interested buyers.

      Highly awaited star from Honda's production line is due for unveiling at the Auto Expo event. The car is none other than Honda Vezel. From the side, Vezel looks like a smaller version of CR-V at a length of 4.3 meters like the City sedan. Honda has introduced new and interesting features in the car such as touch screen infotainment system, touch screen climate control and steering mounted controls. The car is powered by a 1.5 litre i-VTECH petrol engine that efficiently produces approximately 116 Bhp power and 164 Nm of torque. The diesel version borrows the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine from the Amaze sedan and this engine engine produces raw power of up-to 98 bhp and 200Nm of torque. Both the petrol and diesel engine variants in the Honda Vezel are mated with 5-speed manual and five-speed automatic.

      The upcoming Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan is likely to be powered by either 1.2-litre kappa dual VTVT petrol or a 1.1-litre U2 technology diesel engines. Sources close to the development process have revealed that the auto maker is expected to incorporate a number of features in this sedan, such as revised front and rear bumpers, provision of LED lights and touchscreen entertainment unit with Bluetooth connectivity. Also, the company may give out a Fluidic design to this sedan for an appealing look.

      Tata motors has planned to unveiled its fresh hatchback and a sub 4-meter sedan, rechristened as Falcon 4 and Falcon 5 respectively. Both the cars are expected to powered by all new Revotron 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine. The new MPFI (Multi-Point Fuel Injected) engine generates about 85 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque. As per sources, Falcon 4 seems to be an upgraded version of Indica Vista and the Falcon 5 seemed to be an upgraded version of Indigo Manza. It would be worth a wait till the Auto Expo event, when we get to see how these new cars turn out to be.

      Honda Mobilio, based on Brio MPV platform is expected to be showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo Event. The car is expected to be powered by 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engine, whereas the diesel version maybe powered by 1.5-litre i-DTEC Earth Dreams engine. The diesel engine version has been seen in the past for the Amaze line. The car is anticipated to be launched later this year.
