Hyundai is on a spree to launch new models for the Indian market and as a part of its plans for 2017, it will update three of its major sellers in the country. It began its 2017 innings with the launch of the facelifted Grand i10.

Three more launches from Hyundai in 2017

The facelifted Grand i10 will be followed by an AWD variant of the Tucson crossover. This is expected to be launched next month and will be offered with the 2.0-litre diesel engine/six-speed AT combination. We believe that they will price this AWD variant at least Rs one lakh more than the equivalent 2WD option.

Next in the pipeline will be a facelift for the Xcent compact sedan. It will get the same updates as the Grand i10 but with sufficient cosmetic variances, including a new rear-end, to differentiate it from the hatchback. We believe that Hyundai will launch this car in June following a similar pattern of how it launched both the vehicles back in 2013 and 2014.

Finally, one of the bigger launches for 2017 will be the all-new Verna C-segment sedan. This will be the fourth generation Verna for the Indian market and this time around, the car will sport a new design both on the inside and outside. However, mechanically it is expected to remain the same as the current model, which is powered by a range of petrol and diesel engines.
