Hyundai India, the country's second largest car maker, introduced its 2 new flagship models Elite i20 and Xcent in 2014, and has plans of launching around 4-5 new and facelifted cars in 2015. Reportedly, the company will not only update its existing line up but will also mark its presence in some new segments like hatchback crossover and compact SUV. Leading the charts of new launches come Hyundai i20 Crossover, which will be a crossover version of the i20 hatchback. Notably, it will be the first ever crossover from the South Korean company in the Indian auto market. This model is expected to feature the same engine options like 1.2-litre Kappa2 petrol and a 1.4-litre CRDi diesel. It is anticipated to be launched in the first quarter of 2015 with a price tag of around Rs. 5.5 lakhs to Rs. 8 lakhs. Post launch, it will deliver a stiff competition to Fiat Avventura, Toyota Etios Cross, Volkswagen Cross Polo.

Following the league of launches then comes Hyundai Verna facelift. It must be noted that Hyundai has already launched the reworked version of Verna in Russia. It is being assumed that similar to its Russian counterpart, the Indian model will also flaunt the Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy. The new model will get some tweaks at exteriors like a new front fascia with bigger headlights, redesigned fog lamps and reworked bumper with LED DRLs. With these features, the model is expected to be offered within a price bracket of Rs. 7.5 lakh and Rs. 12 lakh.

New Sonata is also present on the charts of Hyundai. Revealed at the 2014 New York Auto Show, this model features some drastic exterior and interior modifications. Similar to upcoming Fluidic Design, the 2015 Sonata will also feature Hyundai's evolved 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' designing philosophy. Its front fascia will be revised and will sport a hexagonal grille being inspired from the Genesis concept. The model is expected to be launched by late 2015 with a price tag of around Rs. 19 lakh to Rs. 21 lakh. Within this range, it will deliver a stiff competition to Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb.
