The oldest running car rally is back this year in its 52nd edition. The Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally has been organised in Delhi on 11 February.
The organiser has already started accepting entries of participants for the rally. Like last year, the rally will again be flagged off from The Statesman House and traverse through a pre-selected route culminating at the Dhyanchand National Stadium. All vehicles will be assessed for their originality and on-road performance on the way. Post the rally, they will be exhibited for visitors at the stadium.
The first edition of The Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally was held in Delhi in 1964. This year, the list of the most interesting vintage cars includes a 1930 Studebaker, 1933 Rolls Royce and a 1947 Buick, which will be the highlight of the rally and exhibition.
