The giant home grown car maker, Tata Motors, today, rolled out its all-new Tata Sumo Gold, which claims to be the most powerful SUV in its category. The vehicle is expected to provide new highs to the market with unprecedented power & dependability.
The Tata Sumo Gold has been produced in order to befit the requirements of the young & enthusiastic drivers, who seek to have a unique, advanced vehicle that possesses extensive expertise in off-roading.
On the eve of the launch of Tata Sumo Gold, R. Ramakrishnan, Vice-President, Commercial - PCBU, Tata Motors, said, “The Tata Sumo Gold is a result of extensive consumer studies and field tests. The product has been designed to fulfil various requirements, long-awaited by the new generation customer.”
The Tata Sumo Gold assimilates a herculean engine that pumps out unmatched power. The SUV irrefutably stands out as along with offering immense strength, it also allows the customers to have access to two different levels of power. The driver can make a choice as per his/her needs. Moreover, the SUV vows to deliver the best-in-class acceleration and stability, along with ample torque to aid the pick-up.
The all-new CR4 Turbo engine, one of the powerhouses, has offered a new definition to the powerful engines. This 2956 cc mettlesome motor has the capacity to churn out a maximum power of 84 hp at 3000rpm and a torque of 250 Nm at 1000 rpm to 2000 rpm. With a stupendous mileage of 14.7 kmpl, this engine has outpaced other powerhouses in its league.
The Di Turbo engine, with its infinite experience, has also find a place in the new Tata Sumo Gold. This 2956 cc engine generates an output of 69 hp at 3000 rpm and a torque of 225 Nm at 1600 rpm to 2000rpm. Its humongous size, owing to its hefty dimensions, makes the Di Turbo the largest sized diesel engine. This engine delivers a decent mileage of 14.3 kmpl.
The Tata Sumo Gold is a consummate SUV with an applaudable compatibility between the giant looks and stylish body graphics. A new headlight design, prominent tail lamp cluster, and high power forward and rear fog lamps help in improving visibility. The new Tata Sumo Gold is being launched in 4 variants namely, GX, EX, LX and CX. Tata Motors has offered a warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km, whichever is earlier, for the SUV. The Tata Sumo Gold range will be available from Rs. 5.23 lac onwards.
