Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury car maker, recently showcased its facelifted E-Class model at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, however no confirmations were made regarding its launch. Interestingly, its test mule was caught on lens near Metzingen, South West Germany without camouflages. Seeing the test mule, it is very clear that the model has been provided with multiple notable changes. A new grille with bumpers and full LED lights are packed within the upcoming E-Class.

It must be noted that the testing process of reworked E-Class has been also carried at Sindelfingen production plant and Unterturkheim in Stuttgart. The test mule was seen with four louvre grille and three-pointed star of Mercedes-Benz on the hood. It is expected that the Avant-garde model will feature the three-pointed star at the slabbed grille.

Reportedly, the auto maker will start the production of its upcoming offering latest by March 2013. Industry experts believe that the launch of E-Class's Saloon and Estate models will be brought to the daylight somewhere in Spring season, whereas the AMG models will also sparkle at the showrooms in 2013. It is expected that the AMG models will be incorporated with a 5.5 litre bi-turbo V8 engine, sourced from E63 and CLS63 models. Auto analysts are also forecasting a price hike mainly because of extra equipment being equipped within the facelifted model. It is anticipated that the entry-level E200 will arrive in the new year at a starting price of £30,000, close to Rs. 27 lakhs.
