Tesla Model S and Model X have received new and updated features at no extra cost to the customers.

Tesla updates range with added features

Both the models get over-the-air software update and new air suspension as standard. The new software update now brings down the 0-100kmph time by one second, says the American electric carmaker. Although Tesla hasn’t given out the actual numbers, it is presumed that the 75kWh cars could now accelerate to a tonne in 4.2 seconds as compared to the 5.2 seconds clocked earlier. Tesla’s futuristic ‘Smart Air Suspension’, after the update, provides better handling, efficiency and ride comfort. Apart from that, the smart suspension can automatically adjust the height of the vehicle according to various conditions. For example, the ride height will be automatically reduced on motorways in order to provide better aerodynamic efficiency at higher speeds.

The Model X SUV is now available with a new seven-seat configuration. The second and third-row seats can be folded flat for maximum cargo space. Tesla is also offering  new ‘cream colour’ interiors across the range. Other minor updates include ‘automatic high beams’ as a standard feature across all cars. This feature was previously only available in limited vehicles.
