Tesla chief Elon Musk has released the images of the upcoming Model 3. Reports indicate that the American electric carmaker will first deliver a set of 30 cars to customers on 28 July. By December, the production is expected to rise to 20,000 units. The company has received over four lakh orders and believe that the waiting period might stretch to a few years if not by a few months.     

Powered by an electric motor, the vehicle gets a rear-wheel drive configuration and is capable of covering a distance of about 215kms on a single charge. Moreover, it can sprint from 0-100kmph in just about 5.4-seconds. As for the interior, the upcoming model will get premium upholstery and a horizontal central display. Moreover, the vehicle will also get AutoPilot technology.

Reports indicate that the upcoming Tesla Model 3 might be priced somewhere around $35,000 (Rs 22.55 lakhs). In an effort to mark its presence in India soon, the company is working on ushering in investors as well as working around government policies.
