Tatas Rapid Resolution Team to boost sales of Aria

Tata Motors, the Indian passenger and utility car maker, has launched a “Rapid Resolution Team” to increase the sales of Aria. This group of trained individuals will address the complaints received from customers at the manufacturer’s dealerships and service centres. This utility car was launched in January 2010 with a wide range of features though it did not evoke the response from the consumers that the company was hoping for.

The company sold 4917 units combining the sales of Aria, Sumo, Safari and Venture. On the other hand, 8000 bookings were made for Mahindra’s new XUV500 which was launched in September 2011. Tata has planned to improve the condition by lowering the price of the car to Rs. 9.9 lacs from Rs. 12.19 lacs. The current pricing would make Aria cheaper than the Mahindra XUV500. With this strategy, the customers in the waiting list and potential buyers will be attracted to dealerships.

Tata is all set to launch the Aria in order to give a tough competition to XUV500 that was recently launched in the South African market. This indicates how important the success of Aria is to the company, especially considering the struggling Nano sales.
