Customers waiting in anticipation to drive home Tata Zica soon, would have to wait a little longer. Earlier it was believed that Tata Motors may launch the hatchback on 20th January, but as per fresh inputs from sources, it is believed that the automaker has postponed the launch to sometime by mid-Feb. The Zica would be positioned below the Bolt hatchback.
Tata’s Zica would be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol trim gets a 1,199cc, 3-cylinder engine that generates about 84bp of power and 114Nm of torque, while the diesel gets a 1,047cc, 3-cylinder engine that generates about 69bp of power and 140Nm of torque. For now both the engines would be offered only in five speed manual transmission option.
Tata Zica is stated to be based on the company’s new ‘Impact’ design language. The hatchback gets sweptback headlamps complimented with chrome enclosed fog lamps and a smiling honeycomb mesh grill. The vehicle additionally gets 14-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured door handles and ORVM’s with integrated turn indictors.
