The Indian carmaker has also been creating some ripples in the International market. Tata has showcased the Zest sedan at the Geneva Motor show. The sedan displayed at the event is powered by the same 1.2 Litre MPFI Turbocharged petrol Revotron engine that generates about 83bhp of power and 140Nm of torque and VGT 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine that generates about 89 Bhp, as seen during the Indian Auto Expo event. Both the engines have been mated to a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission gearbox. Tata Zest has been made a reality owing to valuable design inputs received from three Tata Motors design studios located in Coventry (UK), Turin (Italy) and Pune (India).

Hinting on taking the Indian market by storm, Ranjit Yadav, Tata Motors President, said, “Starting from this year, we will launch Bolt and Zest and we are working very hard on product development. Every year we will bring couple of new models.” Speaking more about fresh developments, he said, “The Nexon, for example, that would be commercialized and will be available for the sale in next 24 months. So you can see that the portfolio starts to get up filled very quickly.” The company intends on launching a fresh line every year to make its presence felt in the Indian soil.
