Under Tata Motors' HORIZONEXT product strategy, the company has plans to replace all of its ageing products with the new ones. The company has already launched two all new cars, Bolt and Zest, in last 8-9 months; and in few days, we'll see the updated Tata Nano. Other products that the company is planning to launch this year are a compact hatchback and a sub-compact sedan. Now a report published on ET claims that the company will remove Vista, Manza and Movus from its line-up.

Though there is no clarity on the replacement products of all the cars, the Zest and Bolt have already entered the segment of Manza and Vista respectively. The company will also launch the Kite twins - hatchback and sub-compact sedan this year. Both models have been spotted testing on Indian roads several times. The Kite hatchback is scheduled to go on sale by mid-2015, whereas the compact sedan is expected to be launched by the end of this year or early next year. The cars will be offered in both petrol and diesel fuel options. While the petrol engine is a 1.2-litre motor, the oil burner will be a newly developed 1.05-litre turbocharged motor.

The second generation Indica with Vista nameplate was showcased at 2008 Delhi Motor Show, which had received positive response from buyers. But its sales started dropping due to rising competition in the segment. Its replacement - the Bolt hatchback - is bigger in size and gets better quality interiors and more refined engines. With new breed of cars, the homegrown automaker is hoping to enhance its market share in the highly competitive auto segment. Adding to it, Tata Motors might also discontinue the slow-selling Sumo Grande aka Movus, due to its dull demand.
