Tata Motors may push the launch of the Tiago hatchback to April. After renaming it from the Zica, the hatchback was expected to be launched by the end of this month, although the new reports suggests that it will now debut only in the middle of next month.
The original plan was to launch the car in January with the Zica badge. However, Tata Motors, decided to change the name of the car, after the outbreak of Zika virus in South America. The new name was announced through a contest, with the rumoured new launch date of March 28.
The bookings for the Tiago opened earlier this month for a refundable token amount of Rs 10,000. The Maruti Celerio competitor, at the time of the launch will be available in both petrol and diesel guise with the five-speed manual transmission. We are waiting to know more details on the launch date from Tata, but seems it will happen after the “Geared for Great’ endurance drive, which is currently happening at the VRDE in Ahmednagar.
