      Tata records highest passenger vehicle sales in last four years in October

      Tata Motors have released their sales figures for October 2016 and its all looking good for the home-grown giant. The brand, in fact, sold 52,813 vehicles during the month, marking a growth of 21 per cent over 43,486 vehicles sold during the same period last year.

      The company’s domestic sales of commercial and passenger vehicles for October 2016 were at 46,480 units, a growth of 19 per cent over October 2015. The passenger car sales, in particular, continued its growth momentum thanks to strong demand for the Tiago which is being hailed as Tata’s comeback model. As for the exports, Tata shipped 6,333 cars in October 2016, marking a growth of 39 per cent compared to 4,569 vehicles in October 2015.

      Coming back to the Tiago, now even though Tata recently hiked the prices of it by about Rs 7,000, the small car is still attracting more buyers into the showrooms. Previous reports indicate that Tata currently has over 50,000 bookings and the waiting period has stretched up to three months.
