As per a latest survey carried out by TNS Global, the country’s cheapest car Tata Nano has scored the lowest in customer satisfaction. While Tata Nano scored 70 points in this survey, the largest selling Indian car Maruti Alto stood much higher at 90 points. “The customer expectations even at the bottom end are rising. The owners of Tata Nano expect more in terms of design and Maruti 800 owners expect better servicing as the years go by,” stated the survey.

Moreover the survey adds that, in the premium segment of car, the customers living in North India are more dissatisfied with their car as compared to the customers living in other parts of the country.

TNS Global said in a statement, “At the national level, the customers in the relatively larger cities are more satisfied than those in the smaller cities. This may be a reflection of the growing expectations in the smaller cities. The manufacturers will do well to understand those.” This survey included 9300 car owners with 56 models.

The cars that topped the compact car segment include Maruti Suzuki A-Star and Zen Estillo. On the other hand, the premium segment was topped by Volkswagen Polo and Maruti Swift. While Maruti Swift Dzire declared the winner the entry level mid-sized sedan segment, the Toyota Corolla Altis won the premium mid-sized sedan category.

The winners of other segments include VW Passat in entry level luxury sedan category, Honda CR-V in the premium SUV category, Mahindra Scorpio in the entry level SUV, and Toyota Innova MUV category respectively.
