      Tata Nano: Art in Motion entices New Delhi

      Tata Motors, the country’s largest automobile maker, had brought the third instalment of its ‘Nano: Art in Motion’ series to the streets of National Capital. The company organised the latest episode during Youth Nexus, an inter college talent show participated by top colleges of New Delhi.

      The theme of Delhi edition of Nano: Art in Motion series was chosen as ’Saddi Dilli’, and a Nano car was painted with all colours representing flavours and spices of the National Capital. The grand finale of this year’s Youth Nexus was carried out at the Ramlal Anand College and the Delhi youth enjoyed live painting done on the Tata Nano. The organised events like street plays, fashion and music shows, amid others, exuded vibrancy and joyous air all around.

      The Delhi episode was the third in Nano: Art in Motion series, with previous two organised in Mumbai and Pune. Tata Motors had introduced this unique brand awareness campaign in Mumbai in September 2012. The ‘Saddi Dilli’ Tata Nano was painted by the trio Mumbai based artists, called ‘The Doodlers’. Their job was to capture the colour palette and general lifestyle associated with Delhites on a Tata Nano car. The ‘Saddi Dilli’ Nano became a canvas for The Doodlers who painted popular Delhi monuments, such as Jantar Mantar, Rashtrapati Bhawan and Humayun’s Tomb, along with Metro train on the cute little Nano.

      Speaking at the first display in Mumbai, Delna Avari, Head, Nano Product Group, Tata Motors was quoted as saying, “The Tata Nano is a true innovation and a fun car, and art is all about having fun with colours, creativity and personal expression. Through this initiative, we are marrying art and utility to showcase a series of Tata Nanos’, which will be embellished with varying theme-based imagery, further accentuating the brand’s personality as a potent personal symbol.”
