      Tata Movus launched in Nepal for INR 19.82 Lakhs

      The Movus Utility vehicle from the Indian carmaker Tata made its presence felt on the local soil a few months ago. Speaking in detail about the new vehicle back then, Mr. Ranjit Yadav, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, “The all-new Movus is a great proposition for large families as it is spacious, easy to maintain, economical for both short and long distances, delivering great value without compromising on comfort. As an entry-level UV, the all-new Movus, a big and reliable vehicle comes at a price point which will provide our customers with best-in-class ride quality, making it a perfect partner for every journey. The vehicle is commercially available at dealerships located in metros and select cities.” The Movus Utility vehicle had been launched at an attractive starting price tag of about Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This time around, Tata Motors has turned their attention to automotive market in Nepal and has launched the Movus MPV at a price tag of about 3.18 million NPR (INR 19.82 lakhs).

      In India, Tata Movus has been launched in two trim variants namely - CX and LX that is loaded with unique features to cater to different needs of a prospective buyer. Similar variants are also available for the Nepal market. The Movus Utility Vehicle is available in seven, eight and nine seater trims that feature interesting seating options like front facing, side-facing and Captain seats. The three rowed Movus UV has a 2550 mm of wheelbase which allows ample space in the third row along with comfortable legroom for the passengers sitting at the rear. Ground clearance of 180 mm makes it easy for passengers for entering and exiting the vehicle. Movus’s low turning radius of 5.35 meters and tilt-able power steering system allows easy manoeuvrability amid thick traffic conditions. Tata is offering new Movus UV in two colour options- Porcelain White and Meteor Silver. The company claims that Movus demands low servicing and maintenance cost.

      Tata Movus UV’s suspension has been tuned to work effortlessly on erratic surfaces. In the front, an independent double wishbone with coil springs and at the rear a parabolic leaf spring-type suspension has been fitted. Movus comes with a considerably large fuel tank capacity of 65 litres and an eminent load carrying capacity. Tata Moves is powered by a 2.2 litre VARICOR engine that engenders a maximum power output of 120 PS along with a peak torque of 250 Nm. As per company officials, the MPV promises to offer segment best pick-up and fuel economy of about 15.16 kmpl. Moreover, the vehicle has been smartly designed with ground clearance of about 180 mm, thereby making it easy for passengers to enter and exit the vehicle. Tata Motors is proffering engine warranty of three years or 150,000 kms whichever comes earlier on the new Movus.
