The new Bolt hatchback shares the platform with its sibling – Vista, but what sets it apart from its predecessor are the significant exterior modifications and new styling elements. The new sharper headlights and new signature Tata grille with Humanity line highlight the young and sporty spirit of the car. The rear receive some vital changes as well.

It seems that Tata Motors is more focused on cabin comfort and richness, and introduced various sophisticated features in the hatchback including the highly-advanced HARMAN infotainment system, HVAC with touch screen controls (first-in-segment) and State-of-the-art 5-inch touch screen for music and videos.

Along with this, the voice recognition, advanced Bluetooth, phone navigation and text to speech add more to its comfort and convenience levels. The all new Bolt will have the Turbocharged Intercooled Multi point Fuel injected (MPFI) based Revotron 1.2T petrol engine that the company recently unveiled.

This powertrain is combined with a F-tronic automated manual transmission (AMT). It is assembled with cast black iron, and produces a peak power oputput of 83bhp @ 5000rpm with 140 Nm of torque @ 1750-3500rpm. Additionally, the first time in this segment, the Bolt comes with a speed sensitive power steering.
