      Tata Motors performed well in June 2012 with impressive sales figures

      South Asia’s largest automobile company, Tata Motors registered its global wholesales at 94,055 units, including Jaguar Land Rover, registering a growth of 6 per cent in the month of June 2012. The overall sales of the auto maker in the first six months of the present fiscal stood at 276,524 units, which marked a growth of 7 per cent over the figures reported in the same period last year.

      Considering the worldwide sales of Commercial Vehicles (CV), including Tata, Tata Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range, the auto maker reported a surge of 6 per cent with 47,896 units in the month of June 2012. The growth in CV segment for current fiscal remained flat with sales of 130,932 units.

      Worldwide, the overall sales of all passenger vehicles were registered at 46,159 units, representing a growth of 7 per cent during June 2012. The comprehensive sales of the company in the present financial year reported a surge of 12 per cent with the figures standing at 145,592 units. On the other hand, the global sales volume of Tata Motors’ passenger vehicles in June 2012 stood at 17,944 units, which implied a dip of 21 per cent when compared with the figures of the corresponding period last year. The total sales of the auto company in present fiscal also witnessed a fall of 8 per cent with figures standing at 62,140 units.

      During the month, the sales of Jaguar Land Rover in the global arena marked at 28,215 units with a growth rate of 39 per cent against the figures of the same tenure last year. The vehicles delivered by Jaguar during the month were reported at 3,829 units with a decline of 5 per cent, whereas the sales of Land Rover stood at 24,386 units with a growth of 49 per cent. The overall sales of Jaguar Land Rover in the current fiscal marked a hike of 34 per cent with figures standing at 83,452 units. Jaguar delivered 11,774 vehicles during the fiscal with an expansion of 4 per cent, whereas the sales of Land Rover were reported at 71,678 units with a growth of 41 per cent.
