      Tata Motors global wholesales stood at 75,026 units in April 2014

      Global wholesales of Tata Motors including Jaguar and Land Rover stood at 75,026 units in the month of April. The company witnessed 39 per cent rise in the sales of its British subsidiary, JLR in April 2014 at 40,137 units as against the same time period last year. Jaguar contributed 5,704 units towards the April 2014 sales, while the rest, 34, 433 units were sold by Land Rover. Tata’s commercial vehicle global wholesales recorded sales of 27,054 units including Tata and Tata Daewoo. Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles stood at 47,972 units, however the global wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles in the same time last year were 12,398 units.

      With the two new products, Zest compact sedan and Bolt hatchback soon going to be rolled out by the home grown auto maker in India, the company eyes witnessing surge in sales. Zest and Bolt are two pre-eminent launches lined up by Tata Motors in India. Ahead of these launches, Tata is currently revamping its 200 dealerships spread across the country. The company along with its channel partners will recruit 3,000 employees at its dealerships. Besides these two cars, Tata’s British subsidiary, Jaguar will also bring new XE sedan that will pit against the likes of Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes Benz C-Class.
