Tata Motors is planning to exhume out revised or completely new car models in the coming year 2012. The leading Indian car manufacturer has been in news for quite a long time as it unveiled the most eagerly awaited Nano in the country, which is termed as the world's cheapest car. Once again Tata prepares to dominate the car market headlines by its plan to launch a ‘complete package’ version of the Nano on Indian roads by 2012. The deluxe Nano, apart from possessing an engine with powerful configurations, would also carry the comfort and safety tags. Features like power steering, air bags and ABS would make the car more complete.

The deluxe Nano has been brought in at the time when Tata Motors adds advancements to its budget car for the European markets, called 'Nano Europa', which was also showcased at the Geneva Motor Show last year. Moreover, the company mulls upon launching the same car in India too, after it debuts in Europe. Tata Motors' India operations Managing Director P.M. Telang confirmed the news saying, "Yes, there is a chance of Tata Motors launching the Nano Europa in the Indian market as well."

Land Rover, owned by Tata Motors, has frequently offered SUVs that have achieved expertise in handling off-road situations with ease. However, this time the standard features in the SUVs have given way to vehicles that emphasise more on the appearance quotient. Evoque is one such SUV that follows the trend. Its design is definitely focussed to meet the aspect of style first, followed by utility and its specifications surely reflect the features of on-road kind of cars. Evoque would be the third model under the company's belt after Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. It is speculated to go on sale in the mid 2012.

Tata’s all-new Safari Merlin is another vehicle that is set for launch in 2012. The revised Safari Merlin is expected to be inspired by Land Rover in some manner. Powering this redesigned Merlin would be a all new 2.2-litre DICOR engine, providing 140 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. These figures are expected to earn laurels for the carmaker, along with challenging other models of its segment. Both 4×2 and 4×4 variants of the car will be available. Its features include traction control, airbags and all the standard accessories that are part of Tata Aria presently.

Furthermore, the new Indica Vista EV also finds place in the list of ‘soon-to-be-launched- models’. It will be built in the UK. The Vista EV (electric vehicle) will be officially launched around the summers of 2012. However, before the actual launch time, the company will supply 25 Vista EVs working in and around the West Midlands as part of a 12-month trial.

Thus, in the coming year, Tata Motors would be ready with plethora of new unveilings to capture the automobile market by storm.
