      Tata Motors appoints Mr. Mayank Pareek as President, Passenger Vehicle Business Division

      Tata Motors has appointed Mr. Mayank Pareek as President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU) and will join the company effective October 1, 2014. Mr. Mayank Pareek has replaced Mr. Ranjit Yadav who will from now on lead the International Business for Passenger & Commercial vehicles.

      Apart from heading passenger vehicle business, Mr. Mayank Pareek will also be a member of the Corporate Steering Committee. His experience of over 20 years in automotive industry will help him pave way to success for Tata Motors also. Mr. Pareek has been associated with Maruti Suzuki India for over 20 years, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer. In his last role as the Chief Operating Officer, he headed the Marketing & Sales division under which various other segments such as Domestic Marketing and Sales, Dealer Development, Product Development, Used Car Business, Outbound Logistics, Spare Parts and Accessories, After Market Services and International Marketing & Sales were also included. Besides these, he was also a member of the Maruti Suzuki India Limited Management Committee and was also a permanent invitee to the MSIL Board.

      Before joining MSIL he worked with BHEL and worked there in the manufacturing function. After working in BHEL for around 9 year he switched to Maruti Udyog in 1991 where he handled sales in the North region and also managed dealer development. At Maruti he also contributed towards the new strategic initiatives such as Leasing, Financing and Used Car Business.

      Mr. Pareek is a Post Graduate in Business Management from India Institute of Management, Bangalore and has done Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Indian Institute of Technology, BHU.
