      Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki Post Healthy Sales Figures

      Double digit growth figures are again reflecting in India’s auto industry figures. Nearly every car maker has posted double digit increase in their sales figures for the month of November 2009. After a rocking festive season, sales were expected to come down a little but the latest figures reveal that Indian car industry is bullish for the rest of the fiscal year.

      November 2008 had been specifically the gloomiest month for auto makers when the economic scenario including the sales figures were extremely bleak. Car sales had dipped nearly 19.38 percent last year in the same month. November 2009 comes with pleasant smiles and healthy sales momentum in the market.

      Maruti sales are up by 60 percent in sales to 76,359 units which were specifically led by its small car product portfolio including Wagon R, Alto, A-Star, Ritz, Estilo as well as a 30 percent jump in M800 figures.
       
      Tata Motors posted total 65.49 percent growth in its sales figures to 54,108. Its passenger vehicle segment reported 44.52 percent growth at 20,706 unit in November 2009 again 14,327 unit in the same month last year. The flagship Indica reported sales of 9,111 units, up one per cent over last November, the company said.
