Tata Motors, the country's largest auto maker, has entered in an association with MapmyIndia through which it will be offering satellite navigation device as a standard accessory in the Vista D90 ZX+ with maps. It must be noted that with the high end models of Vista hatchback and mid-size sedan Manza, the auto maker is offering integrated satellite navigation and an advanced infotainment system.
Expressing his views on this development, the Executive Director of MapmyIndia, Shivalik Prasad was quoted as saying, “Tata Motors is known as a vehicle manufacturer with a deep understanding of customer needs; the car models reflect this philosophy. The VX, GVX, EX and GEX models of Manza and Vista D90 ZX+ will be now provided with updated maps, which will cover over 10 million locations, 6,00,000 villages, 4,787 cities at street-level, 1.9 million road kilometres, 50 cities at house-level, 46 cities in full 3D and driving directions to 30,000 tourist locations. Also, the device will come equipped with driver friendly and localised navigation features, including rich points of interest, extended lane guidance, sign-posts, regional voice guidance and regional maps. Industry experts are of a view that satellite navigation systems offer a great help in searching locations by saving fuel and time. Also, these innovative gadgets make the journey more safe and comfortable. The new range of MapmyIndia comprises updated maps, which help individuals in exploring new destinations in top end models of Manza and Vista D90.
