After a significant wait, The Tata Hexa SUV has finally been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 11.99 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). This new flagship from Tata is available in six and seven seat configuration, 6 trim levels, two engine options and five colour schemes. The Tata Hexa is powered by a 2.2-litre engine that is available in two states of tune. The Varicor 320 engine generates 148bhp of power and 320Nm of torque, however this is offered only in the base XE variant. The other variants, they are offered with the more powerful Varicor 400 engine that generates 153bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. The Varicor 320 engine has been mated to five-speed manual transmission while the more powerful 400 variant can be had with a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic.
The manual variants also get the option of AWD of all-wheel drive system that offers four driving modes - Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road. Additionally, the company also offers personalisation options with three customisation kits – Tuff, Expedition and Luxe.
The fascia of newly launched Hexa SUV sports a new age grille, headlamps and bold bumper. The interior comes loaded with touchscreen infotainment system, soft touch plastic, leather upholstery and climate control.
The Tata Hexa takes on the likes of the Mahindra XUV500, Toyota Innova, Hyundai Creta as well as the D-segment sedans like the Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Corolla Altis.
