Tata Motors dealerships and dealers are buzzing with lots of activity these days. The first batch of Tata Nano is ready to hit the Indian roads and the dealers are preparing to make the bookings. Nano is expected to roll out before the end of current financial year. The dealerships have been asked to strengthen their manpower and improve upon their customer service aspect. The first batch of Tata Nano will target urban and semi-urban customer segment in India.
“We have been asked to open as many showrooms as possible at the district level as the company has planned a slew of new launches this year,” said a Mumbai-based Tata Motors dealer on conditions of anonymity. However, the company officials refuse to comment anything specific upon the current scenario.
Tata will roll out its first batch of Nano from its Pantnagar facility in Uttrakhand. The dealers will start taking bookings for the car by the end of this month and the deliveries will begin from end-March 2009.
