Tata Motors has been in the news this year for its revolutionary technology engines for the recently launched Zest sedan and upcoming Bolt hatchback. Recently sources had hinted that Tata Motors may delay the launch of Bolt as the company does not want the hatchback to overshadow the newly launched Zest. It is also possible that Zest may also overshadow the Bolt hatchback if it is launched. The upholstery in the Bolt hatchback may get black and optional colour combination shade. Sources who have managed to get spy shots of Tata Bolt have stated that the vehicle might as well get a orange colored dashboard.
It is also said that Tata Bolt may receive F-tronic automated manual transmission technology that buyers had been waiting for long to feature in cars in this segment. The petrol engine in Tata Bolt may be driven by 1.2 Litre MPFI Turbocharged engine. The Revotron engine is capable of generating about 83 bhp of power at 5000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 1750 - 3500 rpm. The upcoming Tata Bolt may get three switchable driving modes namely - City, Eco and Sports. Widely spoken ‘DESIGNEXT’, Tata Motors design philosophy, might as well be carried to the Bolt hatchback. As for entertainment the vehicle gets five-inch infotainment system that has been designed and developed by HARMAN. The Infotainment system also gets audio acoustics system, navigation and location based services system developed by MapMyIndia.
Drive quality from Tata Bolt is expected to deliver a refined experience with a tweaked suspension system that works in co-ordination with zero pivot subframe, thereby delivering improved and effortless ride. As for safety, the hatchback shall feature ABS, EPAS, speed sensitive power steering and Active Return function. The new signature style grille is stated to be based on with ‘Humanity Line’ philosophy that seamlessly meets into head lights. The exterior also gets silver trim inserts along with restyled instrument cluster with integrated multi-information display and redesigned steering wheels for the interior.
