The interiors of the Tata’s new premium hatchback the 45x/Aquilla have been espied for the first time. As expected, the interiors are quite similar to the ones available in the Nexon sub-4 SUV. Elements in the design include the steering wheel, touchscreen system and the climate control system. Given that both cars will be positioned in roughly the same space, this interior sharing between both cars was expected.
It will be underpinned by Tata’s Alpha architecture and is expected to share its engines with the Nexon. This includes the 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel. This car is Tata’s answer to the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Baleno, Volkswagen Polo and the Honda Jazz. It was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo and is expected to be launched later next year.
