Suzuki that recently launched the much-awaited Gixxer SF in the Indian two-wheeler market, is now planning to launch two high performance bikes - GSX S1000 and GSX S1000F - in the country. Both the bikes are likely to make their Indian debut in June 2015.

The new GSX S1000 and S1000F are based on a new twin spar aluminium framework and are inspired from Suzuki GSX R1000. While the GSX S1000 is a naked sports bike, the GSX S1000F is a fully-faired bike. Both motorcycles share the engine with the GSX R1000, which is claimed to reach 0-100kmph in mere 2.8 seconds. It's a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, inline-four cylinder 999cc engine that churns out 145bhp of power at 9,500rpm.

Dimensionally, both the bikes are 2,115mm long, 795mm wide and 1,080mm tall and come with a ground clearance of 140mm. These superbikes feature KYB inverted fork and fully adjustable link type shocks. For better braking, the bike sports radial mounted Brembo monobloc calipers and Bosch ABS system.

Also on offer will be a LCD instrument panel consisting of speedometer, tachometer, odometer and water temperature gauge. Adding to it, the instrument cluster features dual trip meter, clock and gear position indicator. The new GSX S1000 naked motorcycle will rival against the likes of Kawasaki Z1000, Triumph Speed Triple, BMW S1000R, and Honda CB1000R; while the fully-faired GSX S1000F will take on the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 1000, BMW S1000RR and Honda CBR1000RR.
