Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the new Access 125 in India at Rs 53,887 (ex-showroom New Delhi). The scooter gets some styling updates and features as a part of its mid-life facelift.
The Access 125 gets a 3D emblem logo and is available in five colour options - red, blue, grey, black and white. The noticeable changes include a redesigned front apron with clear lens turn indicators, a tweaked headlamp cluster and revised tail lamps. The Access 125 has not undergone thorough design changes and still measures 1,780mm in length, 650mm in width, and 1,125mm in height. The wheelbase is of 1,250mm.
The facelifted Access 125 is powered by the same 124cc four-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor produces 8.58bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 9.8Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. With a telescopic suspension in the front, the scooter still rides on 12-inch alloy wheels shod with 90/100-10 sized tyres.
The Suzuki Access 125 is slightly expensive than its predecessor but still undercuts its main rival, the Honda Activa 125, by a decent margin. It will also compete with the upcoming Mahindra Gusto 125 in the Indian two-wheeler market.
