      Suresh Rana and Parminder Thakur dominate the 2016 Dakshin Dare

      Suresh Rana and Parminder Thakur, driving a Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, dominated the 2016 edition of Dakshin Dare to win the rally held in southern India. Sandeep Sharma and co-driver Karan Arya fought hard but had to settle for the second position followed by Jasmohan Saini and Vikram Thakur in third. T Nataraj claimed victory on motorcycles followed by TVS teammate Febin Jose and Akash Aithal astride a Royal Enfield 500.

      Suresh Rana maintained his lead from the beginning as the Rally which was flagged off from Bengaluru headed towards Coorg. Despite a relentless assault for the lead by reigning champion Sandeep Sharma as the rally moved to Shivamogga, Suresh was able to maintain a slender lead. As the rally moved nearer to its finish in Goa, the leader board remained unchanged with the third position going to Jasmohan Saini. In the Endurance category, Ganesh Moorthy claimed top honours followed by Raghu Nandan in second and Karthick Murty in third.

      On motorcycles, TVS rider Abdul Wahid pulled out owing to a shoulder injury. T Nataraj held the reined the TVS 450 to victory followed by teammate Febin Jose.
