After revealing official sketches and a coupled of teaser videos, Mahindra-owned Ssangyong has now revealed the first clear picture of the much-awaited Tivoli compact SUV. SsangYong UK’s CEO, Paul Williams has released the final shot of the compact SUV via his Twitter handle. Just two days back, the company had released a teaser video of the SUV, which shows off the side profile, headlamps, taillamps and other parts of the SUV.

Previously known as the X100 compact SUV concept, the Tivoli SUV is scheduled for global unveiling in January, 2015. The X100 concept was already previewed at several platforms across the world. The near-production version of the SUV was showcased at the 2014 Paris Motor Show as XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure.

The latest image unveils a more modern silhouette, thinner grille flanked by sweptback headlamps with daytime running lamps. The flared wheel arches have been fitted to uniquely designed alloy wheels. The Tivoli would be offered in both petrol and diesel guise. Both models are expected to feature the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines, paired to either manual or automatic transmissions.

Since SsangYong is planning to launch a couple of mass segment products in India too, the Tivoli could be one of them.
