Seen here are the spyshots of the D-segment SUV that suggests that the car’s front fascia will be inspired from the Renault Talisman that was unveiled on July 7, 2015. It will sport a shark-fin antenna, and an all-new rear. The SUV is likely to be based on the CMF (common module family) platform that also underpins the Nissan X-Trial. If reports are to be believed, the D-segment SUV will measure more than 5 meter in length that might be similar to the X-Trail. Though, there is no clarity whether the SUV will be offered with the 7-seat seating configuration (similar to X-Trail) or not.

The D-segment SUV is expected to offered with two petrol - 2.0-litre and 2.5-litre - and a diesel – 1.6-litre - engine options. These are the same powertrains that do duty to the X-Trail. The 1.6-litre dCi turbodiesel engine produces a maximum power of 128bhp and 320Nm of torque. Whereas, the 2.0-litre and 2.5-litre petrol engines offer 140bhp with 200Nm and 165bhp with 226Nm respectively. Both the 2WD (two-wheel drive) and optional 4WD (four-wheel drive) system will be on offer.
