Honda’s upcoming Jazz-based crossover has been spied in production trim. Codenamed 2FM and likely to be called the WR-V, this new product was seen in Brazil ahead of its public debut in November during the Sao Paulo International Motor Show.
Design wise, the WR-V will follow the standard hatchback-based crossover formula of higher ground clearance and body cladding. Honda might even add bigger wheels and chunky roof rails for improved road presence.
There’s no insight on the engine specifications yet, but it is likely that the WR-V will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 114bhp of power.
Globally, the WR-V will slot in below the HR-V. It will be Honda’s entry into a rather niche segment which already has cars like the VW Cross Polo and the Hyundai i20 Active. Post its South America debut, the WR-V will eventually arrive in the Indian market with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options.
