The new generation Fabia hatchback will be based on the Volkswagen's MQB platform, which will be modified for the smaller cars including Fabia, new generation VW Polo and the Seat Ibiza. Media reports suggest that the new Fabia will take its styling cues with other Skoda's and the Skoda Fabia S2000 Rally car.

Skoda will also introduce two new variants of the Octavia- the Octavia Scout and the Octavia G-TEC. The new generation Skoda Fabia is expected to make its Indian debut by 2015. The production of the current generation model has been stopped, however the company is still selling the hatchback in the market. This could be the move to exhaust the remaining stock.
