The auto maker has huge expectations from this new still-to-be-launched vehicle and as such, looks forward to revive the brand value in the domestic market of the country. This all-new sedan is expected to be priced between Rs. 14 lakh and Rs. 18.50 lakh. Head lights and fog lamps are stylish and further add to the appeal of this vehicle. Side profile flaunts neat and and smooth curves. This sedan will come with Parktronic sensors to detect obstacles and generate audio warning signals. This sedan will feature with bi-xenon headlamps to offer better illumination along with the addition of LED daytime running lamps. The vehicle will also get panoramic sunroof with tinted glass that can be electronically controlled. Reportedly, there will be a fully-loaded SKODA infotainment system having a 5.8-inch TFT colour touchscreen display. This audio-payer would be compatible with SD/MMC cards and USB drives. For producing a quality sound, the audio output gets channelised through eight well-placed speakers. Other high end features of this new sedan are 12-way electrically adjustable driver seat with programmable memory, Tyre Pressure Monitor (TPM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), dual-zone climatronic system, adjustable rear vents and six airbags.

It is expected that the all new Skoda Octavia will be offered in three engine options, namely 1.8-litre and 1.4-litre petrol versions, and a 2.0-litre diesel variant. The 2.0-litre diesel powertrain will be available with two transmission modes, a manual and six-speed automatic gearbox. As per industry experts, this new model is expected to get a good response from the Indian auto market and the competition in sedan segment will spice up after its launch. However, many are sceptical about such claims because of a higher price range and auto analysts feel that other decent options are already available for customers with such a price tag.
