      Skoda India sales jumped 39.17 per cent; unveils new Logo

      Skoda Auto, the Czech carmaker, announced on Tuesday that it has registered a 39.17 per cent growth in sales during the month of February 2011. The company managed to sell 2,512 units of its cars in the Indian market during this month as compared to 1,805 units sold in the same month last year, Skoda Auto India said in a statement.

      Commenting on the company’s considerably good performance during the month, Skoda Auto India Board Member (Sales and Marketing) Thomas Kuehl said, "Our consistent growth trajectory is a testament to our unmatched product offering and we will continue to be committed towards our customers by offering value products."

      At present, the company has four models in its Indian portfolio that comprises of premium sedans Skoda Laura and Skoda Superb, hatchback Skoda Fabia, and recently rolled-out premium sports utility vehicle (SUV) Skoda Yeti.

      Meanwhile, the company has also unveiled the new company logo that represents its change in brand philosophy for accelerating growth. The new logo will be used on all Skoda models worldwide from year 2012. Moreover the company is also bringing new corporate design that will be absorbed by the dealers, leading to a redesigning in layout and design of showrooms.
