The current variant of Hero MotoCorp Xtreme and Xtreme Sports, which is scheduled to come to the market in some time, is set to be different in a number of aspects. It is clear now that the manufacturer is delving into the detailed demands of the customers and fans across the country. As a result, the sports bike has been developed with a number of changes going forward. Going forward, the two bikes will be marketed together at different price tags. As far as the difference in specifications is concerned, the Xtreme Sports bike will be better looking and puffed up for a rugged feel. There are differences between the two models with Xtreme Sports getting a few more specifications.

The first point of difference between the two is that the Xtreme Sports gets a new headlight assembly. Thankfully, the old one was good in performance; however, the looks were a bit old fashioned. This has been changed and a new smart get-up has been provided.

The tank scoop has been elongated a bit as compared to the old variant. Also, the new tank scoop gets Sport embossed on it, giving it a bolder appearance.

The side and rear cowl as well as styling get a different pattern, and definitely it can be said that the newer model has a much bolder appearance.

Also, a new engine guard has been provided with the Xtreme Sports version, which gives additional protection to the model. This was not present on the current version, which caused a major problem on challenging roads. However, the new sports variant will not have such problems.

Split seats have been provided on the new variant, which will make seating more comfortable. The current Xtreme has a single seat, which will be done away with in the new variant.

The exhaust system on the bike is quite different as compared with the current model. The new design gives a more attractive edge to the new model, adding to the cosmetic changes.

The power output is the most important of all the changes. The current model is capable of producing 14.2 bhp power, but the new model will be able to churn out 15.2 bhp, according to Hero.

Hero is looking to take the competition a step forward with this new bike. It will compete against the likes of Pulsar 150 Ns as well as FZ models from Yamaha.
