      Honda has been a local favorite for over a decade now. The Japanese carmaker Honda has been known reliable and refinement since quite a long time. Post Honda City, the Japanese carmaker has ventured into a sub-four meter category a while ago with the Amaze sedan. Italian carmaker Fiat has been known for performance and safety on a global platform. Fiat gained popularity in the Indian market with the yesteryear Palio hatchback. Fiat has lanched the facelifted version of Linea sedan at the February held Auto Expo event.

      Performance from the Linea sedan is fairly impressive. The Fiat Linea is powered by 1.4 Litre Fire and T Jet engines, the former generates about 90 bhp of power with 115 Nm of torque, whereas the T Jet generates about 114 bhp with 207 Nm of torque. The sedan shall also be available in diesel version powered by Multijet diesel engine that generates about 91 Bhp of power with 209 Nm of torque. The interior of the car has remained more or less the same as its previous version. The only difference here is a new black and beige colored dashboard. The Italian car-maker has also payed special attention to the safety of the car's occupants; the face-lifted version is loaded with EBD, airbags and ABS system.

      The Linea sedan carries a rich and elegant style this time around. On the exterior front, the new Fiat Linea has received a better looking grill and the bigger front bumper now sports fog lamps. At the rear, the bumpers sport chrome inserts and the number plates have been repositioned to give it a fresher appeal. Overall, the sedan sports a smooth flowing design that gives it a smarter and matured stance. Some of the interesting features that have been included in this sedan are rear parking sensors, automatic headlamps, 16 inch alloys, cruise control, ambient dashboard lighting and rain sensing wipers. Ex-Showroom Delhi prices for the Linea sedan are - Petrol Active is offered at Rs 6.99 lakh, T-Jet petrol Active - Rs 7.65 lakh, T-Jet petrol Dynamic - Rs 8.53 lakh, petrol Emotion - 9.01 lakh, Multijet diesel Active - Rs 8.15 lakh, Mulitijet diesel Dynamic - Rs 9.27 lakh and Multijet diesel Emotion - Rs 9.72 lakh.

      “Earth's Dream Technology” for Honda's engine has given birth to a new line of aluminum based engine under its hood. Honda Amaze has come up with a new ‘SX’ variant, the SX variant will now also include front dual airbags and antilock braking system (ABS), which is a standard facility on all diesel variants of the Amaze and the petrol ‘VX’. The Amaze houses the 1.2L iVTEC petrol mill and the 1.5L i DTEC diesel engine under its hood. With a maximum power output of 98bhp, the diesel mill returns a monstrous mileage to the tune 25.8kmpl. the car now has a total of 12 variants on offer i.e. E, EX, S, SX, VX (petrol and diesel), and S, AT & VX AT (only petrol).

      Safety of the occupants has also been given vital importance by the Japanese car maker. The car boasts of some of the interesting safety features like – Engine immobilizer, Front Seat Belt Pre-tensioner with load Limiter, Driver Seat Belt Reminder, WAVE Key, High Mount Stop Lamp, ABS with EBD and Front Dual SRS Airbags. Driving within the city traffic or cruising on the highway at high speeds, this compact 4 meter sedan has been designed to handle it with perfection. The base model of Amaze 1.2 E MT (i-VTEC) Petrol cost about Rs. 499,900 (Ex-showroom Delhi).
