Seat has showcased the new Ateca SUV ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Speaking more on the occasion, the vehicle’s Design chief Alejandro Mesonero said, “We adapted our design language for the Seat SUV. This car had to be like a big brother to the Leon, but we will introduce stronger evolutions over the next 18 months.” The company expects that the new model shall help them strengthen its share in the European market.
The upcoming Seat Ateca shall be offered in two petrol and two diesel engine options. The petrol trim would be offered in 1.0-litre engine that generates about 114bhp, while the 1.4-litre engine generates about 148bhp. The diesel trim would be offered with 1.6-litre unit that generates about 114bhp, while the 2.0-litre version would offer two power outputs of about 148bhp and 187bhp. The four-wheel drive option would only be offered with DSG dual-clutch gearbox.
As for safety and convenience, the Seat Alteca features Emergency Assist, Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist. Moreover, it also comes with, 360-degree parking view, blind spot detection, parking sensors and traffic sign recognition systems.
