Expressing his delight on the sales, the Senior Vice President (Marketing and Sales) of Honda Cars India Limited, Jnaneswar Sen was quoted as saying, “Honda Amaze has clocked its highest monthly sales of 6,515 units during July 2013, and is maintaining very good growth momentum having sold more than 24,000 units sold since its launch.”

In July 2013, the company rolled out 1,953 units of its flagship City sedan, 2,602 units of Brio hatchback, 133 units of CR-V Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and just 20 units of Accord premium sedan. In the total sales of Honda India, a major chunk of demand was accounted for recently introduced entry level sedan Amaze, which found 6,515 buyers during the month. Along with these sales figures, the auto maker also shipped 756 units to several other auto markets in July 2013.

It must be noted that the auto maker is planning to start a third shift at its production unit from November this year. Reportedly, this move is expected to reduce the waiting period of Amaze, which has been witnessing a brilliant response in the Indian auto market. The idea conceived behind this move is to ensure convenience for its customers and increase the production to timely meet the overwhelming demand faced by Amaze sedan.
